And despite former Fiat exec Gian Mario Rossignolo’s takeover of the De Tomaso brand from the liquidators last year, it seems nothing much has changed.
Fisker has released the first image of its new Surf vehicle, set to debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Focusing on continuing with the company's philosophy, 'Pure Driving Passion' - the electric vehicle with extender range is said to be akin to the Fisker Karma sedan, but Fisker has intriguingly promised a new twist. Other than this and the sole image of the Surf, details of the car have been kept secret in the build-up to this year's Frankfurt motor show. Jaguar is expanding the XF range for the 2010 model year with the addition of the high-performance XFR which has been unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show
Lurking under the hood is a supercharged version of Jaguar's new 5.0-liter direct-injection V8. For the XFR, this engine is rated at 510 hp and 461 pounds-feet of torque. That power is routed through a six-speed automatic transmission.
